How to Change Your WordPress URL Without Breaking Your Site

At some point, you may need to change your WordPress URL. You’ve switched domains, moved to HTTPS, or accidentally set the wrong site address. Whatever the reason, updating your WordPress URL isn’t difficult, but if done incorrectly, it can lock you out of your website, so proceed with caution.

The easiest way to change your WordPress URL is through the WordPress dashboard. Log in and go to Settings > General. You’ll see two fields: WordPress Address (URL) and Site Address (URL). Also, make sure to clear your cache and update your permalinks under Settings > Permalinks to avoid broken links.
